Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP valve island. Modular electropneumatic automation system for direct integration into Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA.

Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral systems "SIMATIC ET 200SP" and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders, or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs.
If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve. This can save time on start-up and maintenance. The valve block and the electronic modules of SIMATIC ET 200SP / SIMATIC ET 200SP HA provide numerous features, including extensive configuration options, diagnostics capabilities, and safety-related shut-off functions.

The Type 8647 valve island can be equipped with different pilot valves depending on the required circuit functions and flow rates.
The pilot valves Type 6524 (single and double valve) and Type 6525 (single valve) consist of a pilot flipper solenoid valve Type 6144 and a pneumatic seat valve. The circuit function allows switching of high pressures with low power consumption and short switching times. They are equipped with a manual override as standard.
The solenoid valve Type 0460 consists of a pneumatic valve body fitted with a double coil pilot valve. The principle allows switching of high pressures together with low power consumption and fast switching times. The valves offer the functions 5/2-way pulse as well as 5/3-way.
AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.

Note on Compatibility
The valves of Type 0460 cannot be installed with AirLINE Quick due to their size.

Safety Shut-off
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. The selection of the appropriate circuit function of the valve (CFC, CFD or CFH) depends on the application and is the responsibility of the user. To avoid brief back pressures in the event of a safety shutdown, the use of valve blocks with integrated check valves is strongly recommended.
System setup with the F-PM-E power module from Siemens: If a valve block Type 8647 is operated in the potential group of an F-PM-E 24VDC/8A PPM ST power module of the ET 200SP, the load voltage of the valve block can be shut down by the power module for safety reasons. Valves of Types 6524 and 6525 return to their rest position. This variant has been documented and assessed in terms of safety and meets the requirements for safety-related control systems in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., DIN EN ISO 13849 or EN IEC 62061).
