BURKERT 20108417 Type 2000 2/2-Way Pneumatic Angle Seat Valve

The BURKERT 20108417 Type 2000 is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve optimized for decentralized process automation. Designed to meet practical application requirements even in harsh environments, this specific model features a robust stainless steel body, a DN40 (1 1/2 inch) clamp connection, and a durable PA (Polyamide) actuator. The reliable self-adjusting packing gland ensures high sealing integrity and a long service life. It is engineered to control the flow of liquid and gaseous media, including water, alcohols, oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, salt solutions, alkalis, organic solvents, and steam.

This valve operates with Control Function B (CF B), meaning it is normally open (NO) by spring force in the rest position. Pneumatic pilot pressure is required to close the valve against the medium flow.

Product Structure

The angle seat valve consists of a pneumatically actuated piston actuator and a streamlined 2/2-way valve body that allows for high flow rates.

Working Principle

Control Function B (CF B): The valve is open in the rest position by spring force. Pneumatic control pressure applied to the actuator generates the closing force on the swivel plate.

Flow Direction Below Seat: The medium flows in under the valve seat. Because the medium pressure is under the pendulum disc, this pressure contributes to the opening of the valve. This flow direction is suitable for liquids, steam, and gases.

WARNING

If the minimum control pressure is too low for CF B or the permitted medium pressure is exceeded, leaks may occur at the valve seat. Always observe the minimum control pressure requirements.

Installation and Maintenance

TIP

The actuator can be rotated steplessly through 360° to optimally align the control air connection with your pneumatic lines.

DANGER

Risk of injury from high pressure in the system! Turn off the pressure and vent the lines before loosening lines, removing the actuator, or performing maintenance on the valve.

  • Installation Position: The valve can be installed in any position, though it is recommended to install it with the actuator facing upwards.
  • Pneumatic Connection: Use only hoses that are authorized for the indicated pressure and temperature range. The control air connection for this actuator size utilizes a G 1/4 inch thread.
