BURKERT 20138468 Type 2933 2/2-Way Manually Operated Diaphragm Valve

Burkert Type 2933 2/2-way manually operated diaphragm valve. Features a forged stainless steel or plastic body, autoclavable actuator, and FDA/USP compliant diaphragms for hygienic applications.

BURKERT 20138468 Type 2933 2/2-Way Manually Operated Diaphragm Valve

The Burkert Type 2933 manually operated diaphragm valve consists of a manually operated actuator, a diaphragm, and a 2-way valve body. The manual actuator with a plastic or stainless steel handwheel is available with a diaphragm bonnet made of stainless steel or plastic, ensuring suitability for hygienic or aggressive ambient conditions. The flow-optimized valve body with minimum dead space enables high flow values and a wide range of possible applications.

The valve body and diaphragms are available in all common materials and variants. The actuator features a compact, autoclavable design and is compatible with all other Burkert diaphragm valves. The manual actuator is equipped with an integrated visual position indicator, a reproducible stroke scale, and an adjustable closing limiter.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Position

The installation position is generally arbitrary, but preferably with the actuator facing up. To ensure self-draining, observe the specific self-draining angle (α) marked on the valve body and align the pipeline accordingly.

Tightening Torques: When installing the device, tighten each fastening screw in 3 stages (approx. 1/3, approx. 2/3, 3/3 of the tightening torque) crosswise. The diaphragm should be positioned and pressed evenly around the actuator and valve body. Excessive torque can shorten the service life of the diaphragm.
