BURKERT 344676 Type 2000 Pneumatically Operated 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert 344676 Type 2000 pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve. Features stainless steel body, PPS actuator, PTFE seal, G1 1/4 thread, DN32, and handles pressures up to 14 bar.

BURKERT 344676 Type 2000 Pneumatically Operated 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert 344676 Type 2000 is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve designed for the controlled flow of liquid and gaseous media. This specific model features a stainless steel body, a PPS (Polyphenylene sulphide) actuator, and a PTFE seat seal, with a G 1 1/4 internal thread connection (DN32). It operates with Control Function A (normally closed by spring force) and supports a maximum operating pressure of 14 bar and medium temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +185 °C.

Product Design and Features

The externally piloted angle seat valve is operated with a single-acting piston actuator. High flow rates are attained with the virtually straight flow path. The reliable self-adjusting packing gland provides high sealing integrity. These maintenance-free and robust valves can be retrofitted with a comprehensive range of accessories for position indication, stroke limitation, or manual override.

Burkert 344676 Type 2000 product structure and components

Key features include:

  • High leak-tightness and high flow values.
  • Control air connection can be rotated centrally and steplessly through 360°.
  • Optical position indicator.
  • Maintenance-free operation.

Control Functions and Flow Direction

Depending on the version, the valve is closed against the medium flow by spring force (Control Function A) or by control pressure (Control Function B).

Control Function A (CFA): Pneumatically operated 2/2-way on/off valve. Normally closed by spring force.

Flow Direction Below Seat

As the medium pressure is under the pendulum disc, this pressure contributes to the opening of the valve. The flow inlet is under the valve seat. This configuration is used for liquids, steam, and gases.

Flow Direction Above Seat

Due to the medium being above the pendulum disc, the operating pressure assists in closing the valve and sealing the valve seat. This configuration is used for steam and gases.

Water Hammer Risk

Risk of damage due to bursting pipes and bursting equipment when the flow is above the seat. In the case of liquid mediums, water hammer can occur, causing pipes and the device to burst. Do not use valves with flow above the seat for liquid mediums.
