Burkert Type 2031 (Article 346883) 2/2-way piston-operated diaphragm valve. Features PPS actuator, stainless steel body, weld end (DN20, 3/4 inch), EPDM diaphragm, 0-10 bar, NC control function A.

BURKERT 346883 Type 2031 is an externally controlled 2/2-way diaphragm valve with a pneumatic piston actuator and diaphragm seal. It uses neutral gases or air to control the flow of media. The proven and robust PPS actuator combined with a stainless steel valve body ensures reliable operation in hygienic or aggressive environments. The flow-optimised valve body with minimal dead space enables high volume flow rates and a wide range of possible applications.

INFO
The device is CIP and SIP capable, making it suitable for hygienic and sterile applications.
The information in the pressure-temperature diagram is important for material selection. Observe the permissible operating pressure, depending on the medium temperature.

The valve can be installed in any position, preferably with the actuator facing up. For leakage detection, one of the relief bores in the diaphragm bonnet must be at the lowest position.
The installer and the operator are responsible for ensuring self-draining. The inclination angle should correspond to the inclination angle of the pipeline. For pipelines, the inclination angles specified in the valid ASME BPE standard are recommended.

Damage to the diaphragm or the actuator
The diaphragm and actuator can be damaged when welding the valve body into the pipeline. Remove the actuator and diaphragm from the valve body before installation.
The device actuator is maintenance-free if the instructions are followed. Components subject to natural wear are seals and the diaphragm.
