Bürkert 49222 (Type 0131) is a direct-acting toggle valve designed for the safe control of aggressive media. This 2/2-way normally closed (NC) solenoid valve features a PVC body and EPDM seals, making it highly suitable for handling alkaline solutions and other challenging fluids. The valve utilizes a diaphragm separation between the actuator and the valve body to ensure the media remains isolated from the internal solenoid components. Installation and Operation

Installation Position

The valve can be installed in any position, but it is preferably mounted with the actuator face up.

Installation Precautions

• The valve body must not be installed under tension.
• Seal material must not get into the device.
• Pay attention to flow direction: The arrow or letters on the body indicate the flow direction from P → A (NC).
• Do not use the coil as a lever arm.

Electrical Safety

Before working on the device or the system, switch off the power supply and secure against reactivation. Always connect the protective conductor and check electrical continuity. If there is no protective conductor function between the coil and the body, there is a risk of electric shock.

Manual Override

When the manual override is locked, the valve can no longer be electrically actuated.

▶ To override the valve manually, press the manual override (1) and turn it 90° clockwise until it stops.

Caution

Loss of O-rings leads to valve leakage. Medium may escape.
