BURKERT 773813 (Type 2654) is a 2/2-way, 3-piece stainless steel ball valve designed for separating medium flows in a wide range of industrial applications. It features a DN 20 welded connection and is constructed from high-quality stainless steel 1.4435 (316L - CF3M) with PTFE seals. The valve is equipped with a mechanical interface according to ISO 5211, allowing for easy installation of a pneumatic or electric rotary actuator.

Installation Instructions

CAUTION: WELDING PREPARATION

To prevent damage to the ball valve and the contained seal, disassemble the ball valve from the pipeline prior to welding.

Disassembling the ball valve for welding:

  1. Undo the four body bolts and disassemble the ball valve into three parts.
  2. Remove the seal from the connection element.
  3. Weld the connection element to the pipeline (e.g., using orbital welding equipment).
  4. Assemble the ball valve and fix it into position using the four body bolts.

Note: The heat impact on the seals must not exceed the maximum temperature (+200 °C for the stainless steel valve body). If the seals are exposed to a temperature greater than the maximum temperature during the welding process, all the seals must be replaced with new ones.

Tightening Torques: For DN 20 (Type 2654), the tightening torque of the installation bolts is 20.4 Nm.

Maintenance

The ball valves are maintenance-friendly when operated according to the instructions.

DANGER

Always switch off the pressure and bleed the lines before undoing the lines and valves!

Replacing the ball seal and/or body seal:

  1. Move the ball valve to the open position.
  2. Undo the body bolts and swivel out the centre part.
  3. Move the ball valve to the closed position and remove the ball.
  4. Replace the ball seal and body seal.
  5. Insert the ball, move the valve to the open position, and tighten the body bolts to the respective tightening torque.
  6. Check the ball valve for leak-tightness.
