Product Overview

Armstrong Check Valve (ONE-WAY VALVE), also known as one-way valve or non-return valve, is designed to effectively prevent backflow in pipelines. Specifically engineered for unidirectional flow systems, it only allows media to flow in one direction, preventing safety incidents caused by reverse flow. The Armstrong CVW40/CVW40SS Series Wafer Lift Check Valve is suitable for hot water, condensate, oil and various other fluids, offering connection sizes from DN15 to DN100 to flexibly meet different flow requirements. The innovative "cam" design on the valve body makes installation more convenient and efficient - simply rotate the valve body until the "cam" contacts the flange bolt to ensure precise centering in the pipeline.

Working Principle

The CVW40/CVW40SS Series Wafer Lift Check Valve is an automatic valve requiring no external power. The valve opens by the pressure of the media itself - when media flows in the designated direction, its pressure overcomes the spring force to push the disc open, allowing media to pass through. When media flow stops or reverse flow occurs, the spring's restoring force quickly pushes the disc closed, blocking backflow and ensuring normal pipeline system operation.

Installation Instructions

  1. The CVW40/CVW40SS Series check valve must be installed according to the flow direction arrow marked on the valve body, ensuring media flow direction matches the arrow direction.
  2. Spring-loaded valves can be installed in any orientation without angle restrictions, adapting to various pipeline layouts.
  3. Non-spring valves can only be installed on vertical pipelines and must strictly follow the upward flow direction requirement to ensure proper valve operation.

Ordering Information

  1. When ordering, clearly specify the product model (CVW40/CVW40SS Series) and nominal diameter (DN15-DN100).
  2. For special requirements, provide detailed information including media type, maximum working pressure, and maximum working temperature.
  3. For E and F types, NPT standard is supplied by default unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering.
