BURKERT 20069398 (Type 6211) Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Solenoid Valve

BURKERT 20069398 (Type 6211) is a servo-assisted normally closed 2/2-way solenoid valve with a polyamide body, G 3/4 connection, and FKM seal for neutral media.

BURKERT 20069398 (Type 6211) Servo-Assisted 2/2-Way Solenoid Valve

BURKERT 20069398 (Type 6211) is a servo-assisted normally closed 2/2-way solenoid valve with a servo diaphragm, designed especially for use with neutral fluids and gaseous media. The valve features low power consumption, low weight, and a compact body. It is normally closed by spring force (Circuit function A). When energized, the solenoid opens the pilot valve first, and then the medium pressure opens the main valve due to the pressure drop above the diaphragm. The special design and geometry of the inner parts result in a soft closing function and cause almost no water hammer.

Installation

Risk of injury from high pressure and discharge of medium

Before working on the device or system, switch off the pressure. Vent or drain lines.

Installation in Pipe

BURKERT 20069398 Type 6211 pipe installation assembly

  1. Observe flow direction: from 1(P) to 2(A).
  2. Ensure that the seal surfaces on the body connections are free of any damage.
  3. Hold the device on the valve body using an open-end wrench and screw into the pipe.

INFO

Ensure that the O-rings on the valve body and the seal surfaces of the connection housing are not damaged during installation.

Coil Installation

BURKERT 20069398 Type 6211 coil installation procedure

Overheating of coil, fire hazard

Connecting the coil without a pre-installed valve will cause overheating and destroy the coil. Only connect the coil after the valve has been installed.

  1. Check the correct positioning of the O-ring on the valve body.
  2. Slide the coil onto the core guide tube.
  3. Fasten the nut with an open-end wrench. When screwing in, observe the tightening torque of 2.8 Nm.
  4. Check protective conductor function.

Cable Plug Installation

BURKERT 20069398 Type 6211 cable plug installation

  1. Attach the cable plug to the contacts on the coil.
  2. Check that the seal is properly fitted.
  3. Tightly screw cable plug, while observing a tightening torque of 0.3 Ncm.
  4. Connect the protective conductor.
  5. Check electrical continuity between coil and body.
