Bürkert Type 2301 (SKU 307409) 2-way pneumatic globe control valve. Features a stainless steel body, PTFE seat seal, DN 65 flange connection, and handles pressures up to 25 bar.

BURKERT 307409 (Type 2301) is a pneumatically operated 2-way globe control valve designed to fulfill tough criteria for process environments. This specific model features a DN 65 flange connection, a stainless steel body, and a PTFE seat seal, making it suitable for pressures up to 25 bar and medium temperatures from -10 °C to +130 °C. The valve operates with Control Function A (normally closed by spring force) and is CIP/SIP capable, meeting stringent hygiene and explosion protection standards including ATEX, IECEx, and Food (EC) 1935/2004.

Unrivaled cycle life and sealing integrity are guaranteed by the proven self-adjusting spindle packing with exchangeable V-seals. The design enables the easy integration of automation modules, whether they are digital electropneumatic positioners or process controllers. The fully integrated system has a compact and smooth design, integrated pneumatic lines, IP65/67 protection class, and superior chemical resistance.

The valve seat is always closed against the medium flow. Spring force (CFA) or pneumatic pilot pressure (CFB and CFI) generate the closing force on the control cone. Because the medium pressure is below the control cone, it helps open the valve.

WARNING
Valve leak if there is too little minimum pilot pressure or high medium pressure! Minimum pilot pressure for CFB and CFI that is too low, or failing to meet the permitted medium pressure, can cause a leak in the valve seat. Adhere to minimum pilot pressure and do not exceed the medium pressure.

DANGER
Explosion Hazard due to Electrostatic Charge! If the device is used in a potentially explosive area (Zones 1/21 or 2/22), appropriate measures must be taken to ensure that electrostatic charges cannot accumulate. Ground the actuator and valve body. Only wipe the device surfaces gently with a damp or anti-static cloth.
DANGER
Risk of injury from high pressure in the system! Before loosening lines and valves, turn off the pressure and vent the lines.
WARNING
Risk of injury when opening the actuator! The actuator contains a spring under tension. When the actuator is opened, the spring will jump out and may cause injuries. Do not open the actuator.
Any installation position of the globe control valve is possible, preferably with the actuator facing upward. Ensure that pipelines are aligned before connecting the valve and note the flow direction (flow direction always below seat).

Connect the control medium to the pilot air port (3–7 bar; instrument air, oil-, water- and dust-free). Install the exhaust air line or a silencer onto the exhaust air port. For usage in an aggressive environment, it is recommended to use a pneumatic hose to drain all free pneumatic ports in a neutral atmosphere.
The Type 2301 Globe Control Valve can be combined with an extensive range of positioners and process controllers to form the Continuous ELEMENT valve system, Type 8802-GD. Compatible control units include:
