TLV FJ32-X QuickTrap® free float steam trap with two-bolt universal connector, X-element air vent, and three-point seating for reliable discharge.

TLV FJ32-X QuickTrap® is a reliable and durable stainless steel universal free float steam trap for use on steam mains and process equipment. It uses a two-bolt flange and three-point seating for a precision-ground float, increasing heating efficiency and reducing manpower requirements for maintenance. The X-element is very sensitive to changes in temperature, responding with great accuracy to quickly discharge air and large quantities of condensate immediately after operation startup.
The two-bolt universal connector facilitates inline steam trap replacement in minutes and allows the trap to be positioned correctly regardless of pipeline configuration. Built-in screens in the connector and trap body keep trap module replacement costs low, while the unique free-float design eliminates concentrated wear to ensure a long, reliable life.

The trap unit must be inclined no more than 5° horizontally and front-to-back. Install the connector body so that the arrow points in the direction of flow, with the flange face in the vertical plane and the trap unit nameplate facing upwards.
Note for Screwed Connection
When products with screwed connections are installed on horizontal piping, the weight of the trap unit may cause the connector body to rotate on the pipe. Tighten the screws securely and provide support if affected by vibrations.

Operational inspections should be performed at least twice per year.
| Condition | Observation |
|---|---|
| Normal | Condensate is discharged continuously, together with flash steam, and the sound of flow can be heard. |
| Blocked | No condensate is discharged. The product is quiet with a low surface temperature. |
| Blowing | Live steam continually flows from the outlet with a continuous metallic sound. |
| Steam Leakage | Live steam is discharged with condensate, accompanied by a high-pitched sound. |
DANGER
NEVER apply direct heat to the float. The float may explode due to increased internal pressure, causing accidents leading to serious injury or damage to property and equipment.
If the product fails to operate properly, check for damaged floats, clogged screens, scratched X-elements, or improper operating pressures. Steam locking can often be resolved by performing a bypass blowdown or allowing the trap to cool.
