BURKERT 329673 (Type 3361) electromotive 2-way globe control valve. Features high precision dynamic control, IP65/IP67 protection, and fieldbus compatibility.

BURKERT 329673 (Type 3361) is an innovative electromotive 2-way globe control valve designed for demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw positions the control cone with the highest precision. A unique feature is its high positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, which reacts almost delay-free to process signals and can be varied according to customer demands. Pressure variations or shocks in the medium are not transferred to the valve position. Each flow-optimized valve body can be equipped with up to 5 different valve seats for precise adaptation to customer needs.
The actuator and valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and robust surface, ensuring the hygienic requirements of fast and residue-free cleaning. Harsh environmental conditions are no problem for the Type 3361 due to its IP65/IP67 degree of protection and high impact and vibration resistance. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3361 provides many helpful functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.

Flow Characteristics
The globe control valve features an equal-percentage flow characteristic according to DIN EN 60534-2-4 (linear characteristic curve on request). The theoretical rangeability is up to 50:1 depending on the seat size.
| Tight sealing required | Leakage class (DIN EN 60534-4) | Medium temperature | Seat seal |
|---|---|---|---|
| No | III/IV (metal seals) | -40 °C to +230 °C | Stainless steel |
| No | For demanding process conditions (cavitation, erosion) | - | Hardened stainless steel |
| Yes | VI (soft seals) | -40 °C to +130 °C | PTFE |
| Yes | VI (soft seals) | -10 °C to +230 °C | PEEK |
The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers the force to the closing element. The integrated electronics are controlled either by standard signals or via a fieldbus. A positioner and a process controller are available as controller variants.

SAFEPOS energy-pack
The optional energy storage device SAFEPOS energy-pack is available. If the supply voltage fails, it supplies the actuator with the energy required to move the valve into the desired safety position, which can be set in the menu.
